Clear Round (“we”) provides a Shopify app that lets independent equestrian retailers share stock information with the Clear Round network and sell surplus stock to other retailers and consumers. This policy explains what data the app accesses when a merchant installs it and how we use it.
Data we access from your Shopify store
- Store details: store name, email, and business address, used to create your retailer profile.
- Products and inventory: titles, variants, SKUs, prices, images and stock levels, used to sync your stock with Clear Round.
- Orders (line items only): what sold, when and at what price, used to calculate dead-stock scores and demand matches for your store. We do not store your customers' names, emails or addresses from your orders.
- Locations and fulfilments: used to update stock correctly and to pass tracking information for orders placed through Clear Round.
Membership applications
When you apply to join, we collect your store name, contact name, email, phone, location, website and what you sell. We use this only to review your application and contact you about Clear Round.
Orders placed through Clear Round
When a buyer purchases your stock through Clear Round, we create the order in your Shopify store with the buyer's name, email and shipping address so you can fulfil it. Payment details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored by Clear Round.
How we use and share data
- To run the service: stock sync, listings, offers, orders and payouts.
- Other retailers in the network see only the products and quantities you choose to list, your store name and city.
- We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run Clear Round (hosting, payments), under contract.
Retention and deletion
If you uninstall the app, we stop syncing immediately and pause your listings. We delete your store's data within 48 hours of receiving Shopify's shop deletion request, except records we must keep for accounting or legal reasons. Customer data requests and deletions sent through Shopify are honoured.
Security
Access tokens are encrypted at rest. All traffic uses HTTPS.
